European Queen Cage (1)
European Queen Cages are designed to be more slim than those used in the US so they are able to be slid between frames without wedging frames further apart. A small hoop is formed on the top end so you can place a nail through the hoop and slide the cage between the center two frames. Once the bees have released the queen, you can slide the cage back out without disturbing the brood nest, lessening the chances of supersedures do to early disturbance confusion. These cages are quite sturdy and work well for repeated use as introduction cages.
